A Winning Formula
The Concept
All our frames are manufactured using high impact, high performance PVCu. Fully sculptured, our Ideal 70 profile delivers exceptionally clean and slim sightlines and the flexibility and subtlety for use in retail, new build and specification sectors.
All frames are fusion welded and NOT screwed together, ensuring better cohesion and corrosion stability. The main profile depth of 70mm with integrated five chambers (front to back) is at the core of the system. All outer frame PVCu walls are approaching 4mm thickness and incorporate two chambers either side of the reinforcement chamber, preventing thermal bridging and providing superb thermal insulation.
PVCu profiles are available in Rosewood, White and Golden Oak as standard and can be produced to give a choice of internal and external finishes. Other colours are available to order, including White and Black finishes
Conforming to BS EN 12608:2003, the system ensures excellent energy efficiency, achieving an ‘A & B’ grade rating.

A low-line PCE Co-Extruded Gasket providing outstanding weather performance whilst complementing the elegant sightlines. Severe weather rating for windows and doors openings and glazing is achieved by double seal using TPE (Themoplastic Elastomer) gaskets, fusion welded at each corner to eliminate shrinkage, to BS 4255-1 and BPF 345/2.

Great Finish
The Ideal 70 offers a premium quality finish. A pioneering system means that Formula One can also guarantee environmental performance with eco-tech 70 recycled content options.
Beading
The Ideal 70 has a full range of beading options from a 24mm to a flush fitting 44mm bead, double and triple-glazed options are easily accommodated to achieve a WER A++ rating.
Superb weather performance
A 23mm rebate with an 8mm cover gives an optimum weathering performance.
Fully sculpted
The Ideal 70’s fully sculptured 70mm five chamber system provides excellent insulation to achieve a WER A++ rating.
Glazing & Efficiency
All Formula One glazed units are Argon gas-filled and benefit from super spacer, warm edge technology.
Our standard double glazed units are ‘A’ rated and tested to BS EN1279-2& 3 / BS EN 12150. They offer a net energy gain of 2KWH/m2/per year to the household.
Our standard window and door glazing specification starts with affordable, efficient ‘A’ rated double-glazed units, whilst upgrade options offer the choice of higher energy efficiency and specialist glazing effects.
Glazing options available include:
Upgrades to Triple glazed units to an Energy Rating of ‘A++’
Specially coated double or triple-glazing that reduces solar loss/gain
Glazing styles including Frosted glass, Etched glass, Stained glass, Georgian bars and Leaded glass.
In very large glazed areas like conservatories, thermal loss and solar gain become particularly important to ensuring comfortable year-round use. So in addition to the 25mm (standard) polycarbonate roof, we offer a 40% thicker 35mm option too.

FLUSH SASH CASEMENT
As a fully sculptured system, designed specifically for the UK and Ireland, Ideal 70 offers a great match to period properties in its own right. The aluplast Flush Sash
builds on this foundation with additional period detailing including a deep bottom rail, dummy sash options and the option to replicate a 90o traditional mechanical joint.

Security
The quality and design of windows and doors dictates the security of a home. One weak link is all it takes: one-fifth of all UK burglaries are committed by simply accessing an unlocked door or open window, whilst forced doors and windows account for all the rest.
Secured by Design
Window Security
All window security hardware conforms to BS EN 1670:2007, the specification for enhanced security performance. Our security enhancements are also passed by the Association of Chief Police Officers specification Secure by Design.
We now have the technical ability to use this material safely for non weather-facing material within a number of our profiles. All Formula One weather-facing / UV-facing surfaces are 100% lead free and made from 100% virgin polymer PVCu. Inside, any recycled PVCu is incorporated safely, clearly identified by a different colour.
All Formula One windows and doors use the latest shoot-bolt multipoint locking systems and internal glazing beads offering total peace of mind. Profile walls are strong and robust, with steel reinforcement at the critical points to increase resistance to attack. Our security commitment ensures that our windows and doors can meet the Police preferred Secured by Design standard (Note – we can achieve this specification, it is not standard).
Door Security
All doors can be manufactured to the police preferred specification Secured By Design and meet the requirements of PAS24.
We now have the technical ability to use this material safely for non weather-facing material within a number of our profiles. Inside, any recycled PVCu is incorporated safely, clearly identified by a different colour.

Sustainability and the Environment
Formula One Windows are ecologically sound and sustainable. Windows are ‘A’ Energy Rated as standard, and can be upgraded up to ‘A++’ with triple glazing. We recycle waste PVCu to make state-of-the-art window reinforcing material.
Lead-free PVCu
Historically, older PVCu window frames and doors used to contain lead-based additives. If touched, especially once weathered, there was a risk of lead contamination. In addition, for several years now, old end-of-life PVCu products are routinely turned into granules to make reconstituted PVCu and reduce landfill.
We now have the technical ability to use this material safely for non-weather-facing material within a number of our profiles. All Formula One weather-facing / UV-facing surfaces are 100% lead free and made from 100% virgin polymer PVCu. Inside, any recycled PVCu is incorporated safely, clearly identified by a different colour.
